FUZZY LOGIC TOOLS Many everyday problems are solved using good old common sense. ” We are accustomed to hearing a problem described using vague terms like “really hot” and “a little,” and usually have little difficulty in understanding the statement. However, how can we represent and reason with vague terms in a computer? The answer rests in fuzzy logic. The form of fuzzy logic we are familiar with today first began to take shape during the 1920s through the work of Lukasiewicz (the inventor of reverse Polish notation) [27].
